The 27-year-old is back in London and on the training ground for the Lilywhites following three weeks of compulsory military service in his home country.

Son would have been expected to serve 21 months in the South Korean army, but earned an exemption when he won gold at the Asian Games in 2018.

The Spurs forward instead spent just 21 days with the South Korean Military Corps, and was reportedly one of the best performers at the camp.

The former Bayer Leverkusen player would have been ruled out for the rest of the season with the broken arm he picked up in February, but is now set to be ready for when EPL football resumes as expected.

Upon his return to London, Son was not made to isolate as he did not test positive for the coronavirus, which is in line with Premier League and government guidelines.
