Premier League side Arsenal have unveiled their new 2019/20 away kit, which was inspired by the "bruised banana" away strip they wore in the early 1990s.

The Gunners ended their partnership with PUMA ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, and switched to adidas. They have now unveiled their new away kit, which pays homage to one of the club's most iconic playing strips in their history.

"The design features a modern twist on the historic 'bruised banana' graphic," a statement on the club's official website read.
"A minimal, shaded zig-zag pattern adorns the famous bright yellow of the Arsenal away shirt.
"The revived and redesigned kit for this season, previously a symbol of the adidas and Arsenal partnership, brings the past into the present with this bold new design."

Arsenal will wear their new away kit for the first time in their pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich in Los Angeles on 18 July, while it will premiere in England's top flight against Newcastle United on 11 August.
