With Pep Guardiola admitting he apologised to Gabriel Jesus after he did not let the striker take a penalty on the weekend, the Brazilian has now responded to what happened.
With just minutes on the clock in City's draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, Riyad Mahrez was instructed to take the late penalty that could have seen the Citizens snatch all three points, much to Jesus' disappointment.
The 21-year-old appeared annoyed with Guardiola's decision at the time, and has since admitted he was not happy he was not allowed to take the spot-kick.
"Obviously, I'm not happy," he said, according to the Daily Mail.
"As Riyad, I've been practising (penalties). I would like to have taken it, I was confident, so I was not happy that they did not allow me.
"However, it was important that we didn't lose."
