The Blues took the lead inside the first minute, as Oscar pounced on an error from Gylfi Sigurdsson, before firing in a brilliant long range effort.
Sigurdsson almost made up for his error a minute later but the midfielder's strike from distance crashed against the woodwork.
The Blues continued to pile on the pressure and nearly got a second in the 13th minute, as Oscar forced Lukasz Fabianski into a fine save.
The lead was eventually doubled in the 20th, as a neat passing move ended up with Cesc Fabregas teeing up Diego Costa, who slotted in at the near post.
Chelsea managed to add a third in the 34th minute through a clinical finish from Diego Costa, after the Spaniard pounced on a poor back-pass.
Mourinho's men were not done there, as they added a fourth a minute later, this time Costa teed up Oscar, who rifled the ball into the roof of the net.
Chelsea got off to a slow start in the second half and created their first meaningful opening in the 71st minute, as Eden Hazard forced Fabianski into a fine save fro distance.
The league leaders added a fifth in the 79th minute, Hazard weaved his way down the left flank before teeing up Andre Schurrle, who tapped home at the near post.
