Manchester City showed their class as they romped to a 4-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
After a dominant opening five minutes, City got the first shot at goal in the sixth minute when Fernandinho took a shot from range which Lukasz Fabianski kept out with a fine save.
Swansea replied with their own attack in the ninth minute after Andre Ayew also took a shot from quite a distance, forcing Ederson to make a brilliant diving save.
The Swansea defence was finally broken when a pin-point cross from Bernardo Silva was tapped home by David Silva to give Man City a 1-0 lead after 26 minutes.
10 minutes later, the Sky Blues doubled their lead through a well-placed Kevin De Bruyne free-kick as the visitors took a firm grip on the game.
That would be the last bit of action for the half as Pep Guardiola's men took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
Just after the restart, David Silva almost doubled his tally with a neat finish that sailed just inches wide of the upright.
Silva wasn't to be denied a second goal any longer as he connected with a Raheem Sterling pass to convert and give Man City a 3-0 lead in the 52nd minute of the game.
Ederson was determined to keep a clean sheet as he denied Roque Mesa's effort with a great reflex save as Swansea looked for a goal to get them back into the game with 25 minutes left to play.
De Bruyne found Sterling in the box with his sharp navigation, unfortunately, Sterling's effort failed to match the pass as his shot sailed over the bar in the 73rd minute.
Sergio Aguero was not to be left out of the action as he contributed with a goal of his own in the 85th minute as City ran out convincing winners on the night.
