Jamie Vardy continued his impressive scoring record against Arsenal after coming off the bench to lead Leicester City to a 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
Thomas Partey was handed his first Premier League start for the Gunners, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recalled while Vardy was only fit enough to start on the bench for Leicester.
Alexandre Lacazette thought he had opened the scoring for Arsenal in the third minute with a glancing header from a corner but the goal was disallowed, as Granit Xhaka unsighted goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel in an offside position.
The Foxes almost went behind just before the half-hour mark after Kieran Tierney whipped in a teasing cross towards the far post but Lacazette's header deflected off defender Christian Fuchs and away from goal.
Bukayo Saka had a great chance to break the deadlock for Mikel Arteta's charges just before the break after latching onto a cross at the near post but scuffed his shot towards the side-netting from a rebound after Schmeichel parried his initial effort.
Leicester fancied their chances after the break in the early exchanges of the second stanza, which manager Brendan Rodgers introduce Vardy on the hour-mark in place of Dennis Praet.
Hector Bellerin came very close to breaking the deadlock for Arsenal in the last 22 minutes with a first-time volley from Aubameyang's cross but his effort was brilliantly saved by Schmeichel.
The Foxes caught Arsenal on a quick counter-attack in the last ten minutes, as Cengiz Under went through on the right side of the box and played a cross towards Vardy, who headed home into a gaping net. The English striker has now scored 11 league goals against the Gunners, only Wayne Rooney (12) has netted more against the North London outfit.
Vardy came very close to netting the second goal deep in stoppage time with dink that deflected off Leno, but the striker's earlier header was enough to seal three points.
