English Premier League:

Chelsea 3-0 Watford

Chelsea reclaimed fourth spot from Manchester United after defeating Watford 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday night.

The Blues got their opening goal on 28 minutes as Ross Barkley slipped in Olivier Giroud, who sent a first-time strike past Ben Foster.

Chelsea were offered the chance to extend their lead after being awarded a penalty just before the break, which saw Willian step up and calmly slot home the second goal.

Watford, meanwhile, showed no real attack threat in the first half and failed to trouble Chelsea shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

It was more of the same in the second half, although the Blues had to wait for the final 10 minutes to create chances.

Frank Lampard's men had to wait until the 91st minute to claim a third goal as Ross Barkley collected the ball 12 yards and rifled one into the top corner to round off the win.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Arsenal

Arsenal registered a third straight Premier League win as goals from Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette sealed victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Lacazette, Hector Bellerin and Reis Nelson dropped to the bench, as Eddie Nketiah, Cedirc Soares and Saka were handed starts.

It was a cagey affair in the early stages, although Wolves did manage to carve out the only opening inside 15 minutes when Adama Traore fired wide from the edge of the box.

The game's first real opening arrived on 30 minutes when Willy Boly's flick on found Johnny, who dragged his effort wide upright from just inside the box, while Nkethia had his volley saved by Rui Patricio at the other end.

It was the Gunners who got the breakthrough though when Kieran Tierney's cross deflected into the path of Saka, who volleyed one into the far corner.

Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo opted for a change 10 minutes into the second half, as the influential Diogo Jota replaced Leander Dendoncker while Mikel Arteta withdrew Tierny for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The hosts should have restored parity on 64 minutes when Traore was slipped through on goal, but the Wolves sent his lob well wide with only Emiliano Martinez to beat.

With Wolves pushing for an equaliser, the Gunners went up the other end and sealed the win through Lacazette's clannish finish into the far corner.
