Lukas Podolski
The German has always been a proven gaol-scorer, but after his move to the Gunners, they were few and far between. After just 12 goals in the 2013/14 season, Podolski was sent out on loan to Inter Milan this past campaign, where he only found the net four times.
Andrei Arshavin
The Russian looked a great talent upon his Arsenal move in 2009, but his transfer fee was never justified. Arshavin scored just 31 goals in 144 games at the Emirates, before he was loan out to Zenit for two years, where he later signed permanently.
Andre Santos
Now club-less, Santos was once an Arsenal player, who was tied to the club for two years. Wenger had high hopes for the Brazilian, but the left-back played just 33 games for the Gunners, before being released on a free to Flamengo in Brazil.
Marouane Chamakh
The forward never seemed to fit the mould at Arsenal, after his move from Bordeaux in 2010. Chamakh scored just 14 goals for the Gunners in three seasons, and now plays for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Gervinho
The Ivorian signed for Arsenal in 2011, with the fans never really warming up to their former winger. Gervinho showed signs of his talent, but was sold in 2013 to Roma, where he became one of their star performers.
