Real Madrid lost crucial ground in the La Liga title race after their 2-1 defeat at Camp Nou on Sunday. Soccer Laduma rates the performances of the Los Blancos players.

Casillas – 6

One massive save against Jordi Alba in the second half and another against Messi. Looked a bit lost in space for Luis Suarez's 2-1

Dani Carvajal – 5

Struggled to keep Neymar quiet and could have been sent off. One of the weak links in Real's line-up.

Pepe – 4

Gave away the free-kick ahead of the first goal and couldn't stop Luis Suarez for the second.

Sergio Ramos – 5

Failed to track Jeremy Mathieu for Barcelona's opener. A few attacking moments put him above Pepe.

Marcelo – 6

One of the few Real players who caused consistent concern for Barcelona towards the latter stages of the first half. However, also slowed down after the break.

Toni Kroos – 5

The World Cup winner looked jaded for most of the game. Hardly any attacking involvement and most of his passes went sideways or backwards.

Isco – 5

Similar to Kroos, a poor showing by the young Spaniard. In Offense he offered little threat and in defence too little impact.

Luka Modric – 7

Best of Real's midfield trio. Decisive passes in build-up for the equaliser and instrumental during Real's strong period. However, his performance dropped in second half due lack of game time after coming back from injury.

Gareth Bale – 5

Had an off-side goal disallowed and missed a sitter in the first half. A few runs but nothing extra-ordinary from the world's most expensive player.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 7

Scored Real's equaliser, but also missed a great chance when the game was still 0-0. Got yellow-carded for diving and was hardly an influence in the second half.

Karim Benzema – 8

His back-heel perfectly set up Real's opener. He was the main threat in Real's front-line and had two shots saved by Claudio Bravo.

Raphael Varane Jese – n/a

Came on too late to make an impact.
