Zinedine Zidane's eldest son Enzo is "in talks" with a Bundesliga 2 side after previously being closely linked with one of Africa's biggest clubs.
The 25-year-old is currently without a team after being released by Segunda side UD Almeria ahead of the 2020/21 campaign despite only joining them in January.
Enzo had been heavily linked with a move to Wydad Casablanca in September after his agent Roberto Carlos announced that a deal was almost done, but it never came to fruition.
Real Madrid coach Zidane's eldest son could now be heading to Germany's second tier, as confirmed by the president of Bundesliga 2 side Erzgebirge Aue.
"The discussions are well advanced. There have been several telephone conversations and Enzo wants to play for Aue," Helge Leonhardt told AS.
"He fits us and, if possible, we can develop him. Enzo is a gem of a player that needs to be perfected. We can do that as we have done it with other players."
It is believed Enzo, who made one senior appearance for Los Blancos, will join Aue as a free agent this week.
