According to Spanish publication Sport, Lewandowski wants to join Barcelona, who have an offer awaiting the Pole's signature.
Having spent eight years at Bayern Munich and 12 altogether in Germany, the ex-Borussia Dortmund forward is said to be keen to start a new journey in what has already been an illustrious career.
With the ever-increasing likelihood that the Catalans will be priced out of a move for Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, Barca are seemingly looking to reinforce their attack in a way that will not compromise their financial structure.
The Spanish giants are reportedly willing to offer Lewandowski, 33, a four-year deal, perhaps with the expectation that he will continue to produce at an elite level for the foreseeable future.
His current agent, Pini Zahivi, is also understood to be close to Barca president Joan Laporta, whocul could aid the potential transfer.

A move to Catalonia may perhaps give the Poland striker the recognition he has yearned for so long. For the 2021 Ballon d'Or, Lewandowski could only finish second to former Barca captain Lionel Messi even after breaking Gerd Muller's 49-year record for the most goals in a German top-flight season.
Given his age, a move to the Blaugrana would probably be the Pole's last elite project, and the prospect of helping resurrect a fallen giant could prove a tantalising for Lewandowski.
