Reigning league champions Bayern are currently third in the Bundesliga standings, behind Borussia Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig, and sacked manager Niko Kovac earlier in the campaign as a result of the team's poor performances.
According to Bild, the German outift is preparing to spend about €300 million (R4.7 billion) in January in order to secure the signatures of three players they believe can turn their fortunes around.

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane tops the Bavarians' shortlist, having been a long-time target for the Munich-based club. Sane has missed all of City's 2019/20 Premier League campaign thus far through injury, but is reportedly hoping to secure a return to Germany, where he previously played for Schalke, in the January window.
Bayern are also said to be hoping to make Philippe Coutinho's loan move from FC Barcelona permanent, with the former Liverpool star free to move if his €120 million (R1.8 billion) release clause is met.

The remainder of the abovementioned €300 million will reportedly be used in an attempt to lure Bundesliga wonderkid Kai Havertz away from Bayer Leverkusen, where he is currently valued at about €111 million (R1.7 billion).
