A Bayern Munich star is reportedly set to open talks with Premier League outfit Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in January.
David Alaba is in the final year of his contract with the UEFA Champions League holders and there has been no indications of an extension.
The Austrian defender will be allowed to speak other clubs from 1 January 2021 over a possible free transfer for the next campaign.
German publication Bild have now reported that Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are set to hold talks with the versatile defender, who is out of contract next year.
Despite playing a pivotal role for Bayern in the last few years, the Bundesliga giants are reportedly unwilling to meet Alaba's wage demands of £280,000-a-week.
Earlier this month, Bayern president Herbert Hainer revealed they had submitted a 'very good' offer to Alaba.
"We submitted to David and his adviser some time ago what we think was a very good offer," he said, as per Daily Mail.
"The answer was that the offer was still unsatisfactory and we should think about it again. We then decided to take the offer completely off the table. This means there is no longer an offer."
