Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland has surprisingly admitted that he does not score enough goals after netting a brace for Norway this week.
The 21-year-old has become one of the hottest properties in European football over the past couple seasons and the brace Gibraltar on Tuesday took his tally to 12 goals ni 15 international appearances.
The Norwegian striker joined in January 2020 and has been in scintilating form after netting 63 goals in 64 appearances for the club.
Despite those impressive numbers at his tender age, the Dortmund striker says he needs to be finding the back of the net a bit more.
"I do not score enough goals," Haaland told TV2 following Stale Solbakken's side's win.
"I'm close to one goal [per game] on average. I personally think that I should have had more goals than matches."
When asked about becoming Norway's all-time leading scorer, he added, "You can probably imagine what I am working towards."
Jorgen Juve currently holds the record with 33 goals, but the Dortmund striker is likely to surpass that tally given the rate at which he scores currently.
