Mane On Target Again As Bayern Move Top

Bayern Munich 6-2 Mainz

Bayern Munich moved to the top of the Bundesliga table with a 6-2 thrashing of Mainz on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when Serge Gnabry opened the scoring as early as the fifth minute after being set up by Sadio Mane.

Jamal Musiala doubled the lead in the 28th minute before Mane got his name on the score-sheet two minutes before the halftime break.

Silvan Widmer and did managed to reduce the deficit for Mainz, although further strikes from Leon Goretzka, Mathys Tel and Eric Choupo-Moting completed the rout.

Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund climbed to third position after defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 on Saturday evening.

Dortmund took the lead in the 20th minute through Julian Brandt's finish, but that lead only lasted six minutes when Daichi Kamada levelled matters for the hosts.

Captain Jude Bellingham would go on to bag the winning goal for Dortmund in the 52nd minute with his third league goal of the season.

RB Leipzig 2-0 Bayer Leverkusen

RB Leipzig extended their unbeaten run to five matches in the league with a 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon.

Christopher Nknuku opened the scoring on 32 minutes before Timo Werner sealed the win for the home side in the 83rd minute.

Wolfsburg 4-0 Bochum

Wolfsburg proved too strong for Bochum after registering a 4-0 victory at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday.

Felix Nmecha opened the scoring for the home side in the 27th minute, before Ridle Baku doubled the advantage eight minutes later.

Nmecha got his second and Wolfsburg's third goal just before the hour mark, while Jonas Wind wrapped up the scoring with 10 minutes left on the clock.

Stuttgart 2-1 Augsburg

Stuttgart rallied from behind to defeat Augsburg 2-1 at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena.

Florian Niederlechner got the breakthrough for the away side in the fourth minute, but that didn't last too long as Serhou Guirassy levelled matters for Stuttgart on 15 minutes.

With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Waldemar Anton popped up with the winning goal for Stuttgart in second-half stoppage time.
