Bundesliga Wrap: Borussia Dortmund Cut Bayern's Lead To Six Points

Borussia Dortmund cut Bayern Munich's lead atop the Bundesliga standings to six points with a convincing 3-0 victory over Union Berlin.

Dortmund, who were without Erling Haaland, were given the chance get back on track after Bayern suffered a defeat to Bochum on Saturdday.

Marco Reus found the back of the net in the 18th and 25th minutes before Raphael Guerreiro sealed the win in the 71st minute.

After Bayern's shock loss Bochum, Dortmund are now two wins behind the Bavarians. Meanwhile, Union Berlin are in seventh and still very much in the race for the top four.

Dortmund will now turn their attention to their Europa League knockout play-off clash against Scottish champions Rangers on Thursday.

Top four hopefuls Hoffenheim moved into fifth position on the Bundesliga standings with a 2-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld.

Benjamin Hubner and Georginio Rutter got the goals in the 22nd and 51st minutes respectively.

The win saw Hoffenheim end a run of three straights defeats in the German top-flight, while the visitors' seven-game unbeaten run came to an end.

Sebastian Hoener's side took hold of fifth position with 34 points, while Arminia are precariously close to the relegation playoff spot, equal on points with Augsburg below them with both sides having played the same number of matches.
