Hertha Berlin 2-3 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich registered a third straight victory in the Bundesliga after edging Hertha Berlin 3-2 at Olympiastadion.

Bayern made five changes from their win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League, as goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala were all recalled.

The Bavarians had a perfect start after Musiala gave them the lead in just 12 minutes after he was setup by Sadio Mane, who won possession high up the pitch.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting doubled the lead for the visitors eight minutes before the interval with a strike from a rebound in the box and Choupo-Moting quickly made it 3-0 and grabbed his brace a minute later after reacting the quickest again from a rebound following a cross by Gnabry.

Dodi Lukebakio pulled a goal back for Hertha a couple of minutes later with a volley after a cross by Marco Richter and Davie Selke reduced the deficit to 2-3 for Hertha on the stroke of halftime from the penalty spot after a foul spotted by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Bayern thought they had restored a two-goal lead around the hour-mark after Agustin Rogel scored into his own net but the goal was disallowed by the VAR for offside in the build-up.

Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Bochum

Borussia Dortmund remain within three points of a top spot after thumping struggling Bochum 3-0 courtesy of a brace by Youssoufa Moukoko at Signal Iduna Park.

Moukoko gave Dortmund an early lead from a long range strike and Giovanni Reyna quickly doubled their lead from the penalty spot on 12 minutes after Donyell Malen was fouled in the box.

Philipp Hofmann found the back of the net for Bochum just before the half-hour mark with an audacious chip over goalkeeper Gregor Kobel but the goal was chalked off by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for offside.

Moukoko put the game to bed for BVB and got his brace on the stroke of half-time with another shot from outside the box following a counter-attack.

Hoffenheim 1-3 RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig got back to winning ways after beating Hoffenheim 3-1 thanks a double by Christopher Nkunku.

Nkunu opened the scoring for Leipzig on 17 minutes and Dani Olmo had a goal for Leipzig around the half-hour mark disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for offside.

Georginio Rutter eventually pulled Hoffenheim level early in the second stanza.

Nkunku restored the lead for the Red Bulls and completed his brace shortly before the hour-mark and Olmo gave the visitors a two-goal cushion with 21 minutes remaining.

Augsburg 1-2 Eintracht Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt bounced back to remain within touching distance of the chasing pack after edging Augsburg 2-1 at WWK Arena.

Mergim Berisha gave Augsburg a perfect start with the opener within the first minute but Sebastian Rode levelled matters for Eintracht 12 minutes later.

Ansgar Knauff snatched the winner for Frankfurt just after the hour-mark.

Mainz 3-0 Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg clinched back-to-back victories by a big scoreline after thrashing Mainz 3-0 at Mewa Arena.

Patrick Wimmer broke the deadlock for Wolfsburg shortly after the half-hour mark and  Maximilian Arnold doubled their lead with 20 minutes remaining

Ridle Baku put the game beyond doubt for the Wolves six minutes before time.
