Bayern Cement Top Spot Before World Cup Break

Schalke 0-2 Bayern Munich

Bayer Munich cemented top spot in the Bundesliga before the World Cup break after defeating Schalke 2-0 on Saturday night.

The defending champions were without the services of Sadio Mane, who is in a race against time to be fit for the World Cup.

Julian Nagelsmann's got the breakthrough on 38 minutes when Serge Gnabry fired home after being set up by Jamal Musiala.

Musiala turned provider once again in the second half to set up the in-form Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who bagged his sixth league of the campaign in the 52nd minute/

Werder Bremen 1-2 RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig got their fourth successive victory with a 2-1 triumph away to Werder Bremen on Saturday evening.

Andre Silva put Leipzig ahead on 13 minutes with his second league goal of the campaign.

Christian Gross pulled Bremen level in the 56th minute, before Xaver Schlager grabbed the winning goal for Leipzig with 20 minutes remaining.

Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 Stuttgart

Bayer Leverkusen registered a third straight league win after defeating Stuttgart 2-0 at the BayArena.

Moussa Diaby opened the scoring for Xabi Alonso's charges in the 30th minute, before Jonathan Tah made the game same after 82 minutes.

Hoffenheim 1-2 Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg rallied from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Hoffenheim at the PreZeroa Arena.

The home side went ahead first after Christoph Baumgartner found the back of the net on 42 minutes.

However, an own goal from Ozan Kabak saw Wolfsburg get back on level terms before Ridle Baku completed the turnaround for Wolfsburg 10 minutes into the second half.

Augsburg 0-1 Bochum

Bochum gave their survival push a big boost before the World Cup break with a 1-0 win away to Augsburg on Saturday evening.

Ghanaian forward Christopher Antwi-Adjei bagged the game's only goal just before the hour mark.
