Bayer Leverkusen missed the chance to move into the top four after playing to a 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin.
Stefan Jovetic put the home side ahead on 42 minutes and while that goal looked to be the winner, Robert Andrich popped up with the equaliser in the 90th minute.
The point sees Leverkusen sit in sixth spot, while Berlin remain in 13th position.
Koln extended their winless run in the league to three matches after playing to a 2-2 draw with Union Berlin.
Anthony Modeste put Koln ahead after just seven minutes, but Berlin got back in the contest thanks to strikes from Julian Ryerson and Grischa Promel.
Modeste went on to rescue a point for Cologne after completing his brace in the 86th minute.
Greuther Furth remain without a win this season after falling to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Cedric Itten looked to have secured a point for the hosts in the 92nd minute after cancelling Sebastian Rode's early strike for the away side.
However, Frankfurt managed to get the winning goal two minutes later thanks to a strike from Rafael Borre.
