Venue: Red Bull Arena Leipzig
RB Leipzig climbed to the top of the Bundesliga courtesy of a 4-0 victory over Schalke on Saturday evening.
Julian Nagelsmann made three changes from last Saturday's draw against Bayer Leverkusen in Willi Orban, Marcel Halstenberg and Christopher Nkunku.
Schalke nearly found a fifth-minute opener after good work from the middle of the park through to the danger area ended with Suat Serdar, who hoofed over the top of goal.
The home side responded just before the half-hour mark with Angelino sending Nkunku's supply straight down their opposite number Ralf Fahrmann.
An early substitution from the side of Schalke 22 minutes gone had Serdar making way for Can Bozdogan after picking up a troubling injury. The change back-fired nine minutes later as Bozdogan gave the hosts the evening's opener after redirecting Emil Forsberg's cross-field supply into his own net.
It was 2-0 inside 36 minutes when Angelino beat a number of challengers in the centre of the area to steer home Nkunku's sharply-taken delivery.
The misery was far from complete for Schalke as Orban charged inside the area to send Halstenberg's corner beyond the reach of Fahrmann.
Leipzig looked for a fourth goal seven minutes after the break, but Nordi Mukiele's header was unable to trouble nor get Ronnow to work from Halstenberg's supply.
The probing wasn't over from the hosts soon after the closing stages, with Mukiele, Halstenberg, Kevin Kampl and Lukas Klostermann firing blanks.
Leipzig compounded their counterparts' misery ten minutes from time when Halstenberg steered home from the penalty spot with Matija Nastasic penalised for handling in the area to round off a big win.
