Borussia Dortmund spent the latest transfer window batting away interest in Jadon Sancho, but could face an even tougher task to keep hold of their star striker next time around.
Manchester United had made Sancho their main target for the window, but Dortmund stood firm on their price tag and the England international ended up staying at Signal Iduna Park.
However, the Red Devils are said to still be interested, and are also keen to lure star striker Erling Haaland to Old Trafford.
Reports indicate that BVB have become concerned about the Haaland speculation, especially with Real Madrid having also been credited with an interest in the player.
The 20-year-old has been in impressive form, having scored 21 goals in just 23 games for Dortmund since his January move from Red Bull Salzburg.
The Norwegian has also stood out for his national team, and netted a superb hat-trick in Norway's 4-0 win over Sweden on Sunday.
United were beaten to Haaland by Dortmund in January, but that has not cooled manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's interest in his countryman.
However, Sport has claimed that Real have serious interest in the striker, although Dortmund were hoping to hold on to the forward until at least 2022.
Los Blancos have also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, and it is thought that if they are able to push a deal through for the Frenchman, it could delay a push for the Dortmund star.
