Borussia Dortmund: Jude Bellingham Breaks Two UEFA Champions League Records

Borussia Dortmund: Jude Bellingham Breaks Two UEFA Champions League Records

Besiktas 1-2 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jude Bellingham broke two UEFA Champions League records in his side's win over Besiktas on Wednesday night, including one formerly held by Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old was involved in both goals for the Bundesliga side as they defeated the Turkish giants 2-1 away from home.

First, Bellingham found the back of the net in the 20th minute to give Dortmund an early lead, and then provided the assist for Erling Haaland's strike in the 48th minute of the clash.

It was his goal, though, that saw him make Champions League history as he became the youngest player to score in consecutive matches in the competition, according to Goal.

Bellingham, at 18 years and 78 days, broke the record Mbappe set during his time at Monaco when he was 18 years and 85 days old.

Furthermore, the England international also became the youngest English player ever to score in an away Champions League match.

The midfielder joined Dortmund from Birmingham City in July last year, and has since amassed 53 appearances for the club, contributing to 14 strikes along the way.
