The Bundesliga giants beat Borussia Dortmund 3-2 to claim the German Super Cup on Wednesday night, adding another title to their illustrious cabinet.
The Super Cup was Bayern's 42nd piece of silverware since 2000, equalling the haul attained by Egyptian giants Al Ahly, who have been linked with the arrival of coach Pitso Mosimane.
That piece of silverware is also the Bavarians' fifth trophy since Hansi Flick took charge of the team, adding to their Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup titles.
With the quintuple already secured, Bayern are now looking to become only the second side in football history to win a sextuple – a milestone only achieved by Pep Guardiola's FC Barcelona in 2009.

Bayern can equal Barca's impressive achievement by winning the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar later this year.
It will be the final Club World Cup to take place with just seven teams – the league winners from the host nation plus the champions of the six continental confederations – before the new format with 24 teams take places in 2021.
