Premier Soccer League Star's Bicycle Kick On FIFA Puskas Award Shortlist

The dramatic last minute bicycle kick goal of a Premier Soccer League star, has been nominated alongside  stars such as Olivier Giroud and Nemanja Matic on FIFA's 10-man shortlist for the 2017 Puskas award.

Oscarine Masuluke scored a brilliant bicycle kick when his team was trailing 1-0 to Orlando Pirates on 30 November in 2016 to equalize the score when joining his teammates for the final corner kick of the match.

At the time, the goal made the rounds all over the world and it has now been selected among the 10 contenders for the Goal of the Season.

The Baroka goalkeeper will be up against Olivier Giroud, who scored a brilliant flick against Crystal Palace on 1 January 2017, as well as Nemanja Matic's wonder strike for Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur and Mario Mandzukic's overhead kick in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, among others.

A panel of goalscoring experts, including Henrik Larsson, Celia Sasic, Alan Shearer, Pedrag Mijatovic and Abby Wambach selected the shortlist, which is now open for votes.

On 9 October, the list will be cut down to three contenders before a second round of voting will open and only close on the day of the FIFA awards on 23 October.
