Zinnbauer Pulls Curtain Back On Shock Raja Exit

The Schwandorf native achieved an unprecedented feat with the Green Eagles last season, leading the north African giants to an invincible domestic double-winning campaign.

Despite winning the Moroccan Throne Cup and the Botola Pro Inwi in his lone full season in charge, Zinnbauer decided to call time on his tenure in Casablanca and make his way to the Saudi Pro League this month, where he has joined Al Wehda.

He has since revealed that the reason for his exit was not because of money, and claimed to have fought in an effort to stay with the three-time African champions.

"Dear Raja Family. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart! As a child, I stood in the curva supporting my hometown team. I know very well the endless love that fans have for their team," the German tactician said via his official Instagram account.

"With Raja, I experienced a new level of passion and enthusiasm. Your drumming and chants would stop the world for me every time.

"This atmosphere is priceless and deeply touching. Your curva is the beating heart of the club, and despite all the challenges, you never gave up.

"Thank you for your unconditional support for the whole team. You played a huge part in this fantastic season, and these two titles belong to you, all the fans, and especially you, Curva Sud!

"My decision to leave was never about money or fans. On the contrary, your incredible support, especially from the Curva Sud, played a significant role in my almost staying.

"Many issues felt resolved for me here, and I was ready to explore new paths. But your passion and unconditional support profoundly affected me and made my decision difficult.

"I fought until the last day to remain the coach of Raja because I believed in the team and our shared vision. However, sometimes life takes us in different directions, and I felt that I had achieved everything I set out to do here.

"You have not only touched the club but also me as a person. Your energy and love will never be forgotten. You will always have a special place in my heart, and I will be forever grateful to you.
