The Red Castle finished in fifth place, meaning they have missed out on competing in CAF competition next season, and they are now looking at a new head coach to revive their ambitions after going through four managers last season.

According to Le Site Info Sports, the frontrunner for the Wydad presidency, Hicham Ait Menna, is favouring former Nigeria head coach Jose Peseiro to become the next head coach of the record Moroccan champions.
Peseiro was at the helm of the Super Eagles when they made their way to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The west African powerhouse would go on to lose 2-1 to host nation Ivory Coast in the final, and that would be his last match in charge of Nigeria.
The Portuguese tactician has been out of football management since, and the three-time CAF Champions League winners are now reportedly looking to lure him to Casablanca.
