Pitso Mosimane has reportedly blocked one of his players at Abha Club from joining Steven Gerrard's team in the Saudi Pro League.

According to Saudi Arabian publication Al-Midan, the South African has prevented Karl Toko Ekambi from leaving his new club to spend the rest of the campaign on loan at Al Ettifaq.
It is claimed the 31-year-old Cameroon international appeared to be on his way to his SPL rivals, but he is no longer expected to leave.
It is said Mosimane, who recently joined the club on a deal until the end of the season, stepped in to ensure Ekambi continues at Abha.
The experienced forward has scored seven goals in 17 matches this term, and will be returning to Saudi following Cameroon's round of 16 2023 Africa Cup of Nations exit.
The Indomitable Lions suffered a 2-0 defeat to Nigeria on the weekend to crash out of the competition after scraping through the group phase.

As per the report, Al Ettifaq will still pursue a move for Ekambi, although it uncertain as to whether or not they will have enough time to agree a deal with the player before the January window ends.
