Al Ahly head coach Jose Riveiro has made a bold promise to the supporters ahead of the new season.
The Egyptian giants claimed their 45th Egyptian Premier League title last season, but fell short in both the CAF Champions League and Egypt Cup.

That led to the departure of coach Marcel Koller, before the former Orlando Pirates coach was brought in as his replacement in May.
While in camp in Tunisia, Riveiro has now told the supporters they will go into every tournament with the aim of winning it.
“The atmosphere in the camp was excellent. The players’ spirit and eagerness to participate and maintain tactical focus were extremely positive and left a good impression on the coaching staff regarding their readiness at this stage of pre-season preparation," the Spaniard told the club's official website.
“We have a distinguished group of players who are capable of executing our playing style and winning every match. However, we are looking to continuously improve performance and reach the desired technical level over time.
“We have great ambitions to win championships and bring joy to our fans. We will play every match and every competition with the aim of winning.”
