Herve Renard's New Job Revealed?

Two-time Africa Cup of Nations-winning coach Herve Renard, who was linked with the Bafana Bafana job in the past, has reportedly landed a new position after leaving Morocco.

Having spent the past three years as head coach of Morocco, Renard stepped down from his role earlier in the month after the nation failed to lift the AFCON trophy.

The 50-year-old is the only manager to have won the tournament with two different nations, having previously done so with Zambia in 2012 and Ivory Coast in 2015, but was unable to replicate his success with the Atlas Lions.

Renard was immediately linked with the coaching jobs of Egypt, Senegal and South Africa following his resignation, but has now reportedly taken over the head coach role with Saudi Arabia.

According to Yabiladi, Saudi Arabia have appointed Renard to replace Argentine manager Juan Antonio Pizzi, who returned to his homeland last month to take over at San Lorenzo.

Renard has reportedly signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Saudi Arabia, and will be responsible for seeing the nation through the second phase of 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Palestine, Singapore, Uzbekistan and Yemen.

The Frenchman has previously worked in Asia, having had a brief stint with Vietnamese club Nam Dinh in 2004.

Should Safa have splashed the cash to appoint Renard, or is Stuart Baxter still the right man for the Bafana Bafana job? Share your thoughts by commenting below.
