Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly will defend their CAF Champions League crown against Kaizer Chiefs in the final after thrashing Esperance 3-0 on Saturday night.

Mosimane made only one change from the 1-0 away win in the first-leg, with Mohamed Magdi Kafsha replacing Salah Mohsen in the line-up, while opposite coach Moine Chaabane recalled Anice Badri and Khalil Chemmam.
Esperance made their intentions of attacking from the word go clear but they were struggling to break down Al Ahly, who were happy to absorb the pressure and play on transitions.
The game came to life in the 33rd minute after the Red Devils were awarded a penalty following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review after IIyes Chetti brought down Taher Mohamed inside the box and after his reaction towards the referee, he was was shown a red card.
Ali Maaloul took the responsibility of the spot-kick and broke the deadlock for Mosimane's men with a left-footed strike as Al Ahly managed the closing phase of the first stanza to head to the break with a 2-0 lead on aggregate.
Mohamed Sherif killed off the tie for Al Ahly just before the hour-mark, after making it 2-0 on the night with a close range finish after latching onto a through ball by Magdi Kafsha.
El Shahat made it 3-0 on the night and 4-0 on aggregate on the hour mark with a chip over shot-stopper Moez Ben Cherifa, with the VAR taking some time before confirming the goal.
With the Egyptian giants comfortably leading, Mosimane took the opportunity to rest some key players, as he made a triple change in the last 22 minutes, with Ramy Rabia replacing Ayman Ashraf while Kahraba and Walid Soliman were also introduced.
In the end, 3-0 was how the encounter finish as Mosimane and Al Ahly will seek to defend their trophy against Chiefs on Saturday 17 July at Mohamed V Stadium in Morocco.
