Paul and Florentin Pogba recently met in a UEFA Europa League clash between Manchester United and Saint-Etienne. While football's most expensive player was born in Roissy-en-Brie, France, his older twin brothers, Florentin and Mathias, were born in Conakry, Guinea.
The Pogba family moved to France when the two siblings were just eight months, and Paul was later born into the family. Both of the older Pogba brothers represent Guinea at international level, while Paul decided to don the Les Blues shirt.
Jerome and Kevin-Prince Boateng were both born in Germany, and while they have different mothers, they share a Ghanaian father. But while Jerome has become a pillar of the Germany national team, Kevin-Prince opted to represent Ghana's senior side after playing for Germany at youth level.
Another famous brother pairing with African roots is that of Romelu and Jordan Lukaku. The Everton striker and his younger brother both represent their country of birth, Belgium, at international level. However, they could have represented the birth country of their parents, DR Congo – in fact, their father, Roger Lukaku, was an international player for the former Zaire national team.
