2019 Africa Cup Of Nations Qualifying Wrap

Congo 1-2 Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe defeated the Democratic Republic of Congo 2-1 on Saturday evening to maintain top spot in Group G.

Ronald Pfumbidzai put the visitors ahead in the 21st minute, before Knowlege Musona doubled the lead in the 69th minute.

Musona's match came to an end with 15 minutes remaining after he was sent off for a second bookable offence, while Yannick Bolasie netted a consolation for the hosts.

Senegal 3-0 Sudan

Senegal maintained top spot in Group A after thrashing Sudan 3-0 at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor.

Pape Cisse and Idrissa Gueye put the hosts 2-0 up in the first half, before M'Baye Niang rounded off the scoring in the 50th minute.

Uganda 3-0 Lesotho

A brace from Emmanuel Okwi and a solitary strike from Farouk Miya guided Uganda to a 3-0 win over Lesotho as they maintained top spot in Group L.

 

Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Madagascar

Faneva Andriatsima's 18th minute strike handed Madagascar a vital 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea to boost their hopes of qualifying from Group A.

Mozambique 1-2 Namibia

Goals from Petrus Shitembi and Deon Hotto saw Namibia come from behind to defeat Mozambique 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Burkina Faso 3-0 Botswana

Burkina Faso returned to winning ways in Group I after comfortably seeing off Botswana.

Jonathan Pitroipa, Banou Diawara and Abdou Traore got the goals for the hosts on the day.

Tunisia 1-0  Niger

Tunisia made it three wins from three group games with a 1-0 victory over Niger thanks to Yassine Meriah's first-half strike.

The hosts had to play the final few minutes with ten men after Ghailene Chaali was sent off in the 86th minute.
