Tempers flared at the full-time whistle as DR Congo and Morocco played to a 1-1 draw in their Africa Cup of Nations Group F clash.
The North African giants started their tournament with a 3-0 win over Tanzania, while the DRC battled back to rescue a point against Zambia on Wednesday night.
The Atlas Lions got off to the perfect start as full-back Achrad Hakimi opened the scoring aftr just six minutes with a first-time volley from Hakim Ziyech's corner.
The Moroccans remained in control and were unlucky not to add to their advantage, as Congolese goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi produced a couple key saves to keep the scoreline down.
Congo had a big chance to pull themselves level after being awarded a penalty three minutes before the halftime, but Cedric Bakumbu fired his spot-kick against the upright.
Sébastien Desabre's charges were a bit more lively in the second half, especially after introducing Meschack Elia and Fiston Mayele for Bakambu and Theo Bongonda.
Morocco responded with a double change of their own to freshen up the stall after the hour mark, as Abde Ezzalzouli and Bilal El Khannouss came on for Selim Amallah and Sofiane Boufal.
However, it was another substitute who made the desired impact as Silas Katompa Mvumpa found the equaliser in the 75th minute by turning home a cross from Meschack.
