The North African giants started their tournament with a 3-0 win over Tanzania, while the DRC battled back to rescue a point against Zambia on Wednesday night.

The Moroccans remained in control and were unlucky not to add to their advantage, as Congolese goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi produced a couple key saves to keep the scoreline down.

Morocco responded with a double change of their own to freshen up the stall after the hour mark, as Abde Ezzalzouli and Bilal El Khannouss came on for Selim Amallah and Sofiane Boufal.
However, it was another substitute who made the desired impact as Silas Katompa Mvumpa found the equaliser in the 75th minute by turning home a cross from Meschack.
