After more than 10 years of silence, Cesc Fabregas has finally admitted that he was the one who famously threw a pizza slice at then Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson's face. Can you guess why he did it?
The year was 2004, back when the rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester United was arguably at its peak. United had just ended Arsenal's unbeaten streak and tempers flared in the tunnel. A brawl broke out between the players and managers, which resulted in an unknown Arsenal player hurling a slice of pizza that hit Sir Alex Ferguson square in the face.
At the time "Fergie" speculated that the assailant may have been then Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas, but the Spaniard has never admitted to being the perpetrator… until now.
While enjoying some time off during the international break, Fabregas was invited to be a guest on a popular British television show. It was there that he finally admitted to being the person who famously attacked the legendary Red Devils manager with a pizza slice.

The now 30-year-old revealed that he heard some commotion from the dressing room, where he was enjoying a snack, and went outside to see many players, including the likes of Martin Keown, Rio Ferdinand and Patrick Vieira, getting involved in a physical altercation.
The midfielder claims he wanted to get involved, but was not sure how to go about it, so he decided to throw the slice of pizza he was holding, but never intended for it to land where it did – on the cheek of the much respected and perhaps even feared Ferguson.
Now that the former Arsenal player has finally confessed to his actions after all these years, it will be interesting to hear what "Fergie" would have to say in response!
Do you think Ferguson would still be angry about the incident?
