Itumeleng Khune is largely praised for his skills between the sticks, but he is also often described as someone who is humble and caring too.
It is with these qualities in mind that he was handed the Kaizer Chiefs armband, and on Sunday, he again showed an incredible amount of spirit with his act of sportsmanship.
Following Saturday’s goalless draw against Pirates, Khune posted a picture on Instagram of himself embracing fellow teammate Brilliant Khuzwayo and opposite number, Brighton Mhlongo.
Alongside the picture, Itu went on to describe how proud he is of the two ‘keepers and how they have risen through the ranks to command their respective club jerseys.
“I'm really proud of this two boys @brilliantkhuzwayo16 and @BrightonMhlongo16 .they've put in a lot of hard work and it's paying off now.keep up the good work gents #GODisGREAT #16+16=32,” wrote Khune.
This is a tremendously humble act by the shot-stopper. Both Khuzwayo and Mhlongo are destined to be great keepers and it is nice to see Mzansi’s best acknowledging them.
Khosi fans, what do you think of this?
