Good morning Khosi fans! It was recently reported by the Siya crew that George Lebese is expected to be handed a new deal by management despite the allegations made against him. Is this a good or bad thing?
Lebese is being investigated for allegedly grievous bodily harm and causing malicious damage to property, raising talk that his chances of a contract extension could be damaged.
The legal case couldn’t have come at a worse time for Lebese, who was enjoying one of his best seasons with the Amakhosi and is also in the final four months of his contract.
Nonetheless, it seems that Chiefs are willing to look past the allegations, regardless of whether or not he is proven guilty, and extend his stay at the club.
If this does happen, it could very well go against the club’s image and motto of Love and Peace, but it also shows how much they trust Lebese and know that he is a valued asset.
Should Lebese be found guilty of these charges, one could argue he may not be deserving of a new deal, but if he isn’t guilty, then this extension will be greatly welcome.
Khosi fans, taking into account the reports out there, do you think it is a good or bad thing that Lebese gets an extension regardless of the outcome of the court verdict?
