Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema was almost tackled by a supporter who wanted a selfie with him during his club's visit to Canada.

Los Blancos are in Montreal for the start of their pre-season preparations as Zinedine Zidane's men look win this season La Liga trophy.

However, Benzema was involved in an incident outside a Ritz-Carlton hotel as he left the team bus, when a teenager charged at the Frenchman in order to get a valuable selfie.

The striker emerged from the incident unscathed, though, as the fast-acting hotel staff stepped in to drag the selfie-seeking supporter away before he could actually mount on to Benzema.
