Despite causing havoc each time Zongo set foot on the pitch, it was off the field where the most damage was done. With controversies and drama crippling what was once a promising career in the game, the 29-year-old winger has amassed just 62 appearances in his footballing journey so far.

Bursting on to the scene as a SuperSport United youngster, Zongo repeatedly had second chances at clubs such as Platinum Stars and Royal Eagles without really making any real strides in his career.
