Nine years ago, fans in Kimberly were quite literally treated to a goal-fest when a Johan Neeskens' Sundowns outfit put 24 goals past Powerlines in the Nedbank Cup.
Subsequently, Sundowns set a scoring record in South African football, beating the 16-0 AmaZulu win over Bizana Lucky Stars in 1976.

Sundowns were relentless in the game and made Powerlines pay for their defensive mishaps. Veteran midfielder Hlompho Kekana could not believe his luck while he netted seven goals.
Striker Nyasha Mushekwi scored a double hattrick while the late Richard Henyekane managed to score 5, a rare feat on its own.
