Social media has reacted as Mamelodi Sundowns star Thapelo Morena broke his silence after undergoing surgery following a horrific injury sustained in a match against SuperSport United on Saturday.
The reigning Absa Premiership champions confirmed that Morena will miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle fracture and ligament damage.

After being discharged from hospital, Morena finally broke his silence as he took to Instagram to thank the masses, including African giants Wydad Casabalanca for their well wishes.
"I would personally like to thank each and everyone who sent me recovery messages. Special thanks to all the football fans from Mamelodi Sundowns, African continent (Thank you) and all football lovers. Thanks to the Management, teammates and football rivals for the support (and) professional medical assistance I have received. Thank you. I will be back and I'll be back stronger. #FootballUnitesUs"
