Siphiwe Tshabalala caught the attention of the world on June 11, 2010 when he opened the scoring in the 2010 FIFA World Cup against Mexico in what was arguably one of the goals of the tournament.
Thursday marked the five-year anniversary in which South Africa hosted its biggest event to date, but the day was particularly remembered for the goal that the Kaizer Chiefs man struck in the opening match.
No swifter attack has ever been produced by Bafana Bafana, and the well taken strike inside the box that rattled the back of Mexico's net warmed the heart of the nation.
Speaking on his own website, Shabba recalled the goal and the meaning it holds for him: "It was a great goal because it happened in an event that was a first in Africa and maybe the last.
"It is special in many ways to different people in South Africa, Africa and the world in general. The experience is one that is next to none. I will cherish the moment forever."
What are your memories of THAT goal?
