The two-time F1 world champion has enjoyed little success so far this season in the Grand Prix, and his outing this past weekend in the Italian GP saw him endure another disappointing drive. Nonetheless, he was left smiling when he was inducted into Real Madrid's Hall of Fame as an honourary member.
Alonso, who currently drives for McLaren-Honda, was unveiled at a special presentation inside the Santiago Bernabeu on Monday afternoon.

Los Blancos president Florentino Perez was on hand to present the Spaniard to the media, before handing him the latest home kit with the No. 1 and his name on the back.
"It is a tremendously special day to be here in this stadium that I love from a distance with all the trips I have. I've been asked a lot why I support Real Madrid," Alonso told the media.
"I've never had a clear answer. I am a Real Madrid fan because I am a Real Madrid fan. Neither do I know why my eyes are brown. Real Madrid chose me to be, like millions of people, a fan of this great club."
Alonso took to Instagram to post the picture of him standing in front of six of the 12 UEFA Champions League trophies the club has won, and he wrote: "Thank you, Real Madrid."
One thing that is now almost guaranteed for Alonso is winning silverware this season. If not on the racetrack, then almost certainly on the field.
Alonso is also an avid footballer, and even struck an amazing free-kick in a charity game ahead of the Monaco GP in 2016.
