Our 34-year-old midfielder, Surprise Moriri, is rolling back the years and doing a fantastic job of supplying our attackers with the passes that they need to score. He was an influential figure during the game as the veteran combined well with fellow attacking threat Hlompho Kekana in midfield, and his ability to dictate play with some fine passes.
Our captain managed to get 32 of his 36 passes on target and was key to our build up play throughout the match. He also managed to complete one successful cross as well as a single successful ground duel. Unfortunately, in the air he was easily overrun, only managing to win one out of his four aerial duels.
But, I'm glad to see Surprise to be doing so well, despite his age. His leadership qualities will undoubtedly prove invaluable and his experience will keep us in good stead when we need to retain composure in the big games.
