What's the story?
Apart from the likes of Nike, PUMA and adidas, the Lotto brand is one of the lesser-known sportswear labels associated with clubs in South Africa at the moment.
Challenging The Big Dogs
However, in recent times, the Italian label has seen its profile increase in Mzansi football with regards to clubs and player reps. At the moment, Lotto is currently the kit sponsor for Maritzburg United, while the likes of Taariq Fielies and Thabang Monare are the brand's leading athletes.
As for the player in question, AmaZulu midfielder Hendrick Ekstein recently showcased his Lotto gear and boots, as seen in his paid post on Instagram.
Lotto Athlete
The ex-Kaizer Chiefs man was previously seen rocking PUMA apparel and boots, with the new Lotto posts including a 'Lotto Athlete' tag in his IG bio indicating his tie with the brand.
Ekstein returned to South Africa for the 2021/22 season, after spending three years abroad with clubs such as Sabah and Sabail FC. The trickster will now look to emulate the form he showcased towards the end of his Chief career, where he became one of the most entertaining players to watch in the PSL.
