Itumeleng Khune once again received compliments from an international star, when Costa Rica and Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas praised him for his exploits in goal for Bafana Bafana. Naturally, the Kaizer Chiefs man was humbled.
In a post-match interview after the national team's 1-0 triumph over Los Ticos, Navas had only good things to say about Khune after his performance, and suggested he should be plying his trade overseas.
This wasn't the first time the Chiefs' man has received praise from one of Europe's best goalkeepers – the likes of Victor Valdes and Iker Casillas have also shown appreciation for his skills before.
As a result, Khune took to Instagram to thank his opposite numbers for their constant acknowledgement of his attributes in goal.
None of the goalkeepers responded to Khune's post, but they surely saw it. It's always nice to see South Africa's players getting world recognition – let's hope it continues that way.
