The story

Veteran shot-stopper Itumeleng Khune is preparing for his highly-anticipated press conference on Wednesday evening, where's he will announce 'the next big thing' with regards to his future.

The Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs legend took to Instagram to build excitement for his announcement by getting visit from his trusted barber, Amukelani Chauke.

Chauke, who goes by "Amu the Barber" on social media, is a celebrity barber and his client list features Lehlohonolo Majoro, and SA music industry heavyweights such as DJ Fresh, Da L.E.S, Kabelo Mabalane and Kwesta to name a few.

"BIG ANNOUNCEMENT LOADING. I'm ready. Are you ready for the great news good people?" teased Khune in his clip posted on IG, while getting his shape up from Amu the Barber.

It's not clear whether or not Khune will be calling time on his career when making his announcement, which will likely bring SA football to a momentary standstill.

The 37-year-old is currently a free agent after his playing contract expired at Amakhosi in June, with the club offering Khune a non-playing role in their marketing department under Jessica Motaung.
