Today, the Fan Park crew takes a look at five footballers that love to go out and party.
David Beckham
Back in the 1990s, David Beckham was a big name, if not the biggest, in football and he was often seen marauding around and absorbing the nightlife with his pop-star girlfriend, Victoria - who he eventually married. The partying created a rift with his Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, and he eventually left the club because of it, signing for Real Madrid.
Mario Balotelli
Mario Balotelli's lifestyle is a constant subject of media attention. Perhaps he's more into doing crazy things, like driving into women's prisons, but he is also known to pull off the odd all-nighter in clubs while he's taking time off from the pitch.
Antonio Cassano
Italian striker, Antonio Cassano is a great talent and probably could've been a lot better if not for his propensity to have a good party… In his failed six-month spell at Real Madrid, he claimed to have slept with over 200 women. Imagine what he could've achieved if he put that kind of focus into his training?
Diego Maradona
Diego Maradona was on top of the world when he played in Italy. But everybody knew that he was going to wild parties… Nobody quite new how bad it was until his cocaine addiction was exposed in the 1990s, at the end of his career. He ended up going to rehab and calling time on his career because of how it ruined his body.
Lovers Mohlala
Former Mamaelodi Sundowns defender, Jethro "Lovers" Mohlala gained quite a reputation during his playing days for partying it up. Now that his career is over he can be open about it.
