Rio Ferdinand's autobiography has caused quite a stir in the past week after quotes from the book have been released with him slandering Chelsea captain, John Terry, our former manager, David Moyes, and revealing insights from our reign under the living legend, Sir Alex Ferguson.
In the latest extract to be released from his footballing memoir, Rio has revealed the dressing room issues that were present during Sir Alex's long-term reign at our club.
"When I went to Man Utd people were clashing all the time," he wrote in the book.
"Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruud van Nistelrooy practically came to blows. Ruud even took a swing at me once."
"He kicked Ronaldo in training then I kicked him. He tried to swing at me, I leaned back out of the way and said: "Swing at me like that, make sure you f***ing hit me next time."
With these comments, Ferdinand is undermining Sir Alex's reputation as a disciplinarian and, to me, it seems to be dragging the Scot's name through the dirt.
Now, I am truly thankful for the English centre back's 12 years of service, but all this seems to be is sour grapes after his unceremonial exit from the club.
Who does he think he is by undermining Sir Alex? Rio, you will never be as big as Sir Alex and you're losing your place in my heart with all these comments. After all the time you spent at the club, you'd think you'd show a little more respect!
Do you think Rio Ferdinand is seeking for attention?
