The two Los Blancos stars, along with Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, were nominated for the UEFA Best Player in Europe award, which the Portuguese won on Thursday night.
Ronaldo lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy and the 2016 European Championship title in recent months, and he also contributed with many goals throughout the 2015/16 campaign.
Bale was happy for his Real colleague, and sent Ronaldo a short message on Instagram to congratulate him on his latest achievement.
