In the build up to this year's AFCON, which gets underway this weekend, the Fan Park crew takes a look at what you can expect from Group A, which contains the hosts, Equatorial Guinea, as well as Burkina Faso, Gabon and Congo.
Equatorial Guinea and Congo will begin the tournament by playing the very first match in Estadio de Bata on Saturday.
As the highest ranked sides in the group, Congo (61) and Gabon (62) will be favourites to progress, but given that Equatorial Guinea are playing at home and the advantage could help them cause an upset.
Burkina Faso will be hoping that their star players, such as Bakary Kone and Alain Traore, will be able to help them put up a fight in the group, but their chances of progressing are not great.
Star players to look out for in this group are Congo's 26-year-old midfielder, Delvin N'Dinga, who has a lot of experience playing in Europe and currently plays for Olympiacos. His hard work in the centre of the park with be key to their efforts.
Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the standout star player and will be a constant threat to goal with his great speed and ability to apply the finishing touches onto any attacking moves.
Burkina Faso's, Alain Traore, has a wealth of experience in Ligue 1 and will also be a certain goal threat for his country in their attempts to progress, while Equatorial Guinea will be hoping that the young Real Madrid winger, Ruben Belima, can prove to be a future star in their squad which is jam packed with talented youngsters that are based in Spain.
When all is said and done, we expect that Gabon will top the group and that Congo will progress in second place, while Equatorial Guinea and Burkina Faso will fight it out for third place.
